Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins believes teammate Eddie Johnson deserves a new deal.
The Nigerian posted on Twitter that USA international Johnson has been in good enough to warrant new contract terms with the Sounders.

What Martins may not understand is that the Sounders probably cannot afford to pay the former Fulham forward any more money due to the salary cap seeing as he is not one of three Designated Players at CenturyLink Field.
Those positions are taken up by Martins himself, Argentine midfielder Mauro Rosales and new signing Clint Dempsey.
