Seattle Sounders announced today both Governor Christine Gregoire and Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn have issued a proclamation to designate October 15, 2011 as "Kasey Keller Day" as a salute to the Sounders FC goalkeeper final regular season match.

Keller, who will retire at the end of the season, will be honored in an on-field ceremony immediately following the match against San Jose Earthquakes.

The club has announced over 61,000 tickets have been sold for the game.
