Scunthorpe United striker Gary Hooper has weighed into the row involving Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

Hooper insists he is a massive Tevez fan and cannot believe he was allowed to leave Manchester United.

Ahead of Scunthorpe's FA Cup tie with City, Hooper said: "Fergie's decision to let Tevez go? Huge mistake, massively wrong. I just cannot understand why the guy is not still at Old Trafford when you look at his qualities and what he offers, both as an individual and to the team."
