Scunthorpe United chairman Peter Swann has confirmed that the club is set to appoint Mark Robins as their new manager.
The League One outfit will soon officially unveil Robins as their replacement for Russ Wilcox who was sacked on Wednesday with Swann saying the former Huddersfield Town boss will signed, sealed and delivered by next week.
"I'm delighted because the most important thing was to not leave the team in limbo," Swann told BBC Radio Humberside.
"We've spent the last 24 hours ironing out the contract and we're there now so we hope to announce the appointment on Monday.
"I was impressed with Mark's track record and I hope he has a long tenure here. It's a great opportunity for him and for us."
The former Manchester United, Leicester City, Norwich City and Rotherham United striker has previous managerial experience with Rotherham, Barnsley, Coventry City and Huddersfield where he was sacked just one game into the current season.
