Coventry City are targeting Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Joe Murphy as a possible replacement for the outgoing Kieren Westwood.

It is highly likely that Coventry boss Aidy Boothroyd will sell Westwood in January and has already teed up a potential deal for Murphy.

The 29-year old has been with The Iron since 2006 but could land at Coventry for a cut-price as he is out of contract in the summer and may be available for less than he would normally fetch.
