Scunthorpe United defender Kenny Milne believes teammate Gary Hooper will reject Celtic for a move to the Premiership.
It is believed that Hooper has already been given a guided tour of Parkhead and Lennoxtown as Celtic attempt to lure him to the SPL next season, but the club face a fight to secure his signature.
"To be honest, I think he is destined for the Premiership," Milne told The Herald. "No disrespect to Scottish football but it would be a big signing if Celtic managed to get a hold of him. There are a few big teams down here and there could be a bit of a bidding war for him.
"If Celtic come knocking, you have got to think about it. They are a massive club. They have not had a good season and they will be looking for someone to kickstart them next year. If Gary went there it would be a massive move for him but his heart is set on the Premiership, I think."
Wigan, Wolves and Derby County have been touted as potential suitors as a result of Hooper's exploits to date and Milne has been impressed by what he has seen at close quarters this season.
