Scunthorpe boss Alan Knill will move to add to his League One squad when the loan window re-opens next Tuesday. Wolves defender Jamie Reckford joined the Iron on loan for a month on Monday, but Knill is not hopeful of completing another deal before Tuesday's 11pm deadline.
He told the club's official website:
"There's no money out there and, for us, it's loans. We're not buying anybody, we're just looking to loan people, so the clubs that have the players are cautious in case they lose anybody else.
"Speaking to everybody else, they've found it difficult too. If you haven't got money then you have to be really patient. It's frustrating but there's not much more you can do.
"All you can do is enquire about the players and hope that they come through. If not on Tuesday, we will definitely have someone in, in seven days' time when the loan window opens again." "It's tough for everybody. If you look at the window in January, last year there were so many millions spent and this year a lot less.
