Scunthorpe United are chasing West Bromwich Albion midfielder Liam O'Neil.
The Birmingham Mail says Scunthorpe need a midfielder to replace Isaiah Osbourne, who injured his hamstring in their FA Cup tie at Forest Green.
The 21-year-old midfielder made three substitute appearances in the Premier League last season and started in two of Albion's games in the Capital One Cup this season, the win against Hull and the defeat to Bournemouth.
O'Neil is a product of the Albion youth academy, having joined from Calor League club Histon as a youth player.
