Scunthorpe boss Wilcox confirms interest in Hull striker Fryatt

Scunthorpe United boss Russ Wilcox accepts their move for Hull City striker Matty Fryatt is a long shot.

Wilcox confirmed his interest in the 28-year-old, who is out of contract at Hull City.

"Names are mentioned all the time and his (Fryatt's) was one that cropped up. Of course you are going to be interested in a player like Matty Fryatt," Wilcox told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"There will be interest from Championship clubs, we know that. He went to Sheffield Wednesday on loan last season and did really well. I'm sure there will be interest from a dozen others.

"Never say never, that's what I say."
