Scunthorpe United boss Ian Baraclough has welcomed the loan deal for Chelsea fullback Ben Gordon.
The 19-year-old played four games on loan for Tranmere last season, and made 23 appearances during a loan spell with Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock back during the first half of this campaign, scoring one goal.
Baraclough told the club's website: "Ben Gordon from Chelsea will be joining us eventually.
"He picked up a muscle strain in his final game for Kilmarnock so we'll have to wait and see on his fitness recovery with Chelsea, where he will be doing his rehabilitation.
"We await their response as to when he's ready."
