Scunthorpe United boss Nigel Adkins has questioned if Manchester City star Robinho has it him to reach his potential.

Adkins believes he knows how to solve Robinho's problems as he prepares to welcome the richest club in the world to the Championship club on Sunday.

"Robinho is a multi-millionaire and he now needs to ask himself a question: does he want to be the best footballer in the world or not?" Adkins said.

"It's as simple as that. What is going to motivate Robinho? He has got the money so he doesn't need to be motivated by money. Does he want to be the best he can because your career is gone in a blink of an eye.

"How do you motivate a millionaire? The winners in life are motivated by being the best they can be to win things not to make as much money as they can. Maybe some of the younger boys think about the money rather than being the best they can be."
