Owen Brown is making big waves at Liverpool.

The Daily Mail says Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez may have numerous Spanish compatriots in his backroom staff at Anfield but it is former Tranmere player Brown, an ex-manager of non-League team Vauxhall Motors, who has emerged as his special Merseysider confidant.

And Brown, assistant chief scout at Liverpool despite his lowly football background, is said to greatly favour fellow Scousers when it comes to facilitating access to Benitez.
