Scottish youngster Mallace: It's a dream playing alongside AC Milan great Nesta

Montreal Impact's Calum Mallace is absolutely loving playing next to Italian legend Alessandro Nesta.

The 20-year old Scottish defender joined the Impact in January 2012 and admits he is learning a lot playing next to AC Milan great and World Cup winner Nesta for the Canadian club as well as former Juventus and Bologna striker Marco Di Vaio.

Mallace added that it was also a thrill to play against former Arsenal star Thierry Henry who used to be a favourite of his on FIFA and Championship Manager.

"It's an absolute dream playing with Alessandro," he told SunSport.

"He's great - he knows the ins and outs of the game like no one else.

"In training if I'm on his team and I give the ball away, he'll be very hard on me.

"Then right after, he takes me to the side and gives me advice and tells me what he thinks about the play.

"We've also got Marco di Vaio in our team. Playing against him every day in training is great.

"Last year before a game with New York Red Bulls I just stood there watching Thierry Henry warm up. I was thinking 'I used to play FIFA with this boy on my Playstation'.

"He was my top scorer in Championship Manager, too. I'd always sign him no matter what club I was playing as.

"It's brilliant to be playing with these guys in the MLS."
