Scottish starlet Grimmer: I couldn't pass up Fulham chance

Jack Grimmer admits he could not let the opportunity to join a club like Fulham pass.

The 18-year old Scottish midfielder left Aberdeen to join the Cottagers in January and after integrating into the youth squad, has no regrets on departing Pittodrie which some felt was a premature move.

"I had to take all things into consideration," Grimmer told the club's official website. "And I just didn't think I could pass up the opportunity of training with some of the best players around and being taught by coaches who have been there and done it all, which is what's happening at Fulham.

"I consider myself lucky to have come in and already played for the Development Squad in the short time that I've been here," added Grimmer.

"It was expressed to me before I signed that if I did my thing and worked hard then I'll get my chance.

"It was a big deal to me because you don't come to a club where you've never got a chance of playing for the first team so that was a big factor [in signing]."
