Scottish football nothing without Celtic v Rangers says Cha

Departed Celtic defender Cha Du-ri has suggested that Scottish football may struggle without Rangers in the Premier League.

'Gers will play elsewhere in the Scottish Football League after being voted out of the top flight and upon his departure to Fortuna Dusseldorf, ex-Hoops right-back Cha feels that football in Scotland is in a bit of a state without the Old Firm derby.

"In Scotland, football is a completely different thing from what it is in Germany," the former Eintracht Frankfurt and Freiburg man said.

"When we played at home or against Rangers, everything was wonderful.

"But when we played away, it was a real shock. The stadia, dressing rooms and dismal atmosphere all shocked me."
