The Scottish FA has announced two new sponsorship deals, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. In the first of the two agreements, German sportswear giant Adidas will continue as the official kit supplier of Scotland's national teams until 2018. The company has supplied the country's kit since 2009.
Meanwhile sports goods retailer JD Sports becomes the exclusive retail partner of the Scottish FA. As part of its deal, which also runs until 2018, the company will begin stocking Scotland's new Adidas kit when it launches on Thursday 14th November.
"We are delighted to announce these sponsorship agreements with two of the leading sports brand manufacturers and retailers in the United Kingdom," said Stewart Regan, the Scottish FA's chief executive.
"They have shown their commitment to Scottish football by investing in the game and with the upturn in fortunes of all our national teams, we are sure the partnerships will be mutually beneficial."
Financial terms of the agreements have not been released but the two together have been termed a 'multi-million pound double'. According to Regan, money derived from them will go towards supporting the body's ongoing "strategic objectives, particularly in the performance and grassroots areas".
