Scott Wootton is on the brink of signing a new deal with Manchester United.
Wootton is set to sign a new deal at United and head out on loan, reports the Bristol Evening Post.
A club source has confirmed Bristol City boss Derek McInnes has made an enquiry for the defender and hopes to beat off competition from Blackburn.
