Scott Malone: I'm grateful for Premier League chance with Huddersfield

Scott Malone says Huddersfield Town can be happy with their 0-0 draw against Burnley.

Huddersfield's third draw in a row takes them on to 24 points ahead of their trip to Leicester.

Full-back Malone is urging them to complete a remarkable survival act.

Malone is relishing his first crack at the Premier League, having endured the worst moment of his career with Fulham when they lost to Reading in the Championship play-off semi-finals last May.

“I thought my Premier League dream was over when Fulham got knocked out by Reading in the playoffs," he said.

“That was probably the lowest point of my career so far. I'm just thankful Huddersfield went up and got me.

“I worked so hard for it over the last seven or eight years, I've played in every league and I've done it the hard way. We've got to hang on to it now."
