Scotland win but interim boss Stark coy over future

Interim boss Billy Stark has refused to discuss whether he will formally apply to be Scotland coach following an unconvincing the 2-1 win over Luxembourg. Scottish FA chief executive Stewart Regan had indicated that the Under-21 coach could emerge as a candidate.

But Stark told BBC Scotland that the result at Stade Josy Barthel would have no bearing on his own decision.

"I really wasn't thinking of that. If we had won 6-0, I wouldn't have been thinking any differently," he said.

"I've been asked to take the team through this game. I'm delighted we've secured a victory, particularly for the travelling support, and we'll see what happens in the future."
