Owen Coyle says he would be prepared to make the move abroad if the right managerial job came his way.
The former Burnley and Bolton boss has been linked with the vacant Scotland position and although he is open to that particular role, he admits the idea of moving to somewhere such as Spain would be very appealing.
"The SFA is very fortunate to have some tremendous managers out there who would tick every box. We all want a strong Scotland team again," he told Record Sport.
"There is a good squad of players and Craig Levein was very unlucky in this campaign.
"I love football and want to be back out there tomorrow - but it must be right for me.
"Scotland punches above its weight in terms of the quality of manager it has produced. That's not by accident.
"We have certain traits that get the best out of players.
"I worked last year with young coaches and told them we take it for granted that everybody speaks English.
"My boss at Airdrie, Alex MacDonald, used to learn a couple of words of Spanish every day.
"It is great to have another language. You never know where you can end up.
"I have picked up bits and pieces and if it was the right thing and the right challenge to go abroad, it is something I would look at."
