Scotland's Strachan: 'We have to get even better' to qualify for Euro2016

Gordon Strachan has implored his Scotland squad to continue improving if they want to compete with Europe's best at the Euro2016 tournament.

The Scots have made inroads in 2013 under Strachan and are currently on an unbeaten streak of four matches, culminating in last Tuesday's friendly win over Norway in Molde.

The next competition on Scotland's agenda is the Euros in France in less than three years' time but Strachan has urged his side to get even better if they want to qualify for that.

"I look at teams that have qualified for the World Cup and there are some incredibly good sides out there. If we are to qualify for the Euros we have to get even better," said Strachan.

"The squad and the rest of us should feel great and be happy with what we've achieved in the last couple of games.

"It's great to see people getting on a plane after they have won, to see people celebrating in the dressing-room.

"It makes it all worthwhile and I'm hoping for some more. I really do think there is more in us.

"I'm happy with loads of things but we need to get even better.

"We have to do it as a group because we don't have the individual players."
