Scotland's Miller admits he was simply chasing Brazil

Scotland captain Kenny Miller admits that Sunday at the Emirates Stadium was spent chasing Brazilians around.

The Bursaspor striker and his Scottish teammates worked extremely hard against the South American stars in their 2-0 friendly loss in London but were in the end no match with Miller acknowledging that he may not have even touched the ball in the second half.

"It was such hard work just to live with them, although I thought we started all right - we did get a free kick in the first two minutes, didn't we?" he told SunSport.

"We got the ball into their corner and stretched them! All joking aside they pass the ball so well and, just when you think you've got them penned in, there's a flick or a runner and three or four of you are out of the game.

"It was an eye-opener, incredible, not just for the young lads but the experienced guys who have been there a while now.

"I'm actually struggling to remember touching the ball in the second half.

"Now it doesn't matter who you're playing, you always maybe get a wee flurry - and I've been in some really tough games against great teams.

"But apart from a couple of corners and a few ventures up the park in the second half, it was just hard going."

However, Miller was happy his side managed to toil all afternoon and actually make life difficult for their far more technically advanced opponents at times.

"I think that says a lot for us. We never gave in. We didn't chuck it. We kept going to the end," he added.

"As much as they're a class team, they didn't open us up until the last ten minutes.

"Okay, they had the lion's share of possession. It was always going to be that way.

"But they couldn't break us down too easily. The fact is, they're as good as any team I've ever played against.

"They have got some big players missing but they're as good as we've played.

"I don't think 2-0 is too bad and the momentum hasn't been lost, not at all."
