Scotland needs to be strong and resilient - Celtic's Brown

Celtic captain Scott Brown feels that the Scotland team needs to find some resilience for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier with Belgium.

The Scots take on the Belgians in Brussels in desperate need of a win after taking just two points from their opening three Group A outings and the midfielder, who will miss this week's clash after injuring his hip in the 2-1 loss to Wales on Friday, suggests some strength needs to be implemented in order to achieve a positive result.

"It's not just about getting victories to climb the table, it's about giving the guys and myself encouragement because this is sore," Brown said.

"I wondered how the hell we lost the Welsh game.

"Sometimes things are sent to test you. It's a time for being strong and resilient.

"I hope I'm given more time. I have a way of doing things that I believe is the right way. It's exactly the same thing I did at every club I have been at.

"You don't throw the whole plan away because the results haven't gone for you."
