The Scottish Football Association has confirmed that the Scotland national team will play Northern Ireland early next year.
Gordon Strachan's Scotland team will host Michael O'Neill's Northern Irish at Hampden Park in Glasgow on March 25 as a precursor to their Euro2016 qualifier with Gibraltar four days later.
"We have enjoyed a good 2014 and now we will work together - the coaches, players and supporters - to make it an even better 2015," said Strachan.
"Playing Northern Ireland, a national side full of confidence after their start to European Qualifying, will be a good challenge for our team.
"There will obviously be a British derby feel to the game, which brings an added competitive edge, and that is exactly what we are looking for before we resume our qualifying campaign against Gibraltar.
"We have thoroughly enjoyed our travels to Ibrox and Celtic Park - two top-class football stadia - but we are also looking forward to getting back to our home ground of Hampden Park and we look forward to having that excellent support behind us again for the second half of our campaign."
Scotland have had a positive beginning to their European Championship qualification campaign, sitting third in Group D with seven points from four fixtures which has them equal with World Champions Germany.
Northern Ireland have had an even more impressive start by taking nine points from their opening four matches which sees them sitting second in Group F behind Romania.
