Scotland coach Gordon Strachan is chasing Cardiff City's England defender Steven Caulker.
Caulker was overlooked again by Roy Hodgson when he announced the latest squad for Friday's friendly against Chile and the following game against Germany next Tuesday.
Strachan has been alerted to Caulker's eligibility to represent Scotland - who he qualifies to play for through his grandmother - and will ring the player in an attempt to convince him to join his team, says the Daily Mail.
