Craig Levein has refused to comment on whether he would have been interested in the Celtic job had he not taken over as Scotland manager a few months ago. His impressive credentials as boss of Dundee United meant he was always tipped to move to one of the Old Firm at some stage and would have been a strong contender to fill the Hoops vacancy in the wake of Tony Mowbray's departure.
Asked if he would have thrown his hat in the ring if he was still at United, Levein said: "What's the point in talking about parallel universes?
"I'm the Scotland manager so don't ask me about other jobs, especially jobs other guys are doing."
