Gordon Strachan has labelled Scotland's 2-1 World Cup qualifying loss to Wales on Friday as 'freaky'.
The Scots led by a goal after Grant Hanley's opener on the stroke of half-time but then had Robert Snodgrass sent off in the 71st minute before Aaron Ramsey (penalty) and Hal Robson-Kanu gave Wales a come-from-behind victory.
Strachan was in some sort of disbelief in the wake of the defeat but insists that the Scotland team will not allow something similar to occur again.
"The players are confused," Strachan said.
"I said to them it was a freaky 25 minutes on Friday night. It was not a bad 25 minutes, it was freaky what happened.
"When you watch it again, something is just not right.
"People did things which were very strange and we need to get to the bottom of it.
"The first thing I do is analyse myself, I ask myself if I gave them too much training or too much information? Did they need a rest?
"But the staff have said: 'Even if you are training from 8am until 8pm that doesn't normally happen'.
"So the players are a bit embarrassed about that 25 minutes.
"They eventually came off the ropes and started to do the things we set off to do in the first place.
"Up until their equaliser I was thinking 'we'll score another one here'."
