Scotland boss Alex McLeish was delighted with the form of Derby winger Stephen Pearson in this week's win in France.
Scotland's vice-captain ended the night on crutches after an awkward challenge from Patrick Vieira. And he also picked up a booking which rules him out of next month's crucial qualifying clash at home to Ukraine.
But Derby star Pearson ran his heart out. McLeish said: "I did not want to lose Darren so early because he is an important part of the team, but it was good to see Stephen come on and do so well."
