Scotland boss Burley regrets not having Celtic's McGeady available

Scotland boss George Burley admits he regrets not being able to select Celtic wing wizard Aiden McGeady.

"It's a big shame he can't play for Scotland. He has the quality to go past people and has very quick feet," said McGeady. "He's got a number of tricks in his locker and, on top of all that, is scoring goals.

"So, all round, he is maturing into a top winger who can make and take goals.

"You only had to look at the part he played in setting up Scott McDonald for Celtic's fourth against Aberdeen. Again he used his quick feet and his final ball across for McDonald was tremendous.

"He displayed great ability and wonderful vision. It was simply top-class wing play."
