Scotland and England to meet in Glasgow

Scotland and England are set to face off in Glasgow for the first time in 15 years.

The Scotsman is reporting that the Scottish and English FAs are in negotiations regarding an international friendly for November this year.

The Scots have not hosted the Three Lions in Glasgow since 1999 when the visitors won 2-0 in a Euro2000 playoff before they lost 1-0 at Wembley in the second leg.

Last year, Scotland took on England in London with the home side saluting 3-2 in front of more than 80,000 fans, but this year the Scots could get the chance to play host.

Scottish FA's headquarters of Hampden Park may not be ready to host football after its holding of the Commonwealth Games during the summer meaning the fixture may be played at Celtic Park where the capacity is 60,000.

The proposed date of November 18 will see Scotland facing England just four days after their Euro2016 Group D qualifier against Republic of Ireland in Glasgow and just three days after the Three Lions host Slovenia inn their Group E qualifier.
