Luiz Felipe Scolari was twice ready to quit Chelsea before his sacking on Monday, it has been revealed.
The Daily Express says the Brazilian threatened to leave following Chelsea's 1-1 FA Cup draw with Southend and the 3-0 Premier League defeat at Manchester United.
The paper quotes a Chelsea source, who says: "He [Scolari] is an emotional guy and he was really down after both those games. Twice Felipe asked to be allowed to go because he was so low but he was talked out of it each time."
