Luiz Felipe Scolari is being linked with Manuel Pellegrini's job at Real Madrid. Don Balon says Cristiano Ronaldo's minders have already been sounded out about the prospect of working with the Brazilian and he has given the move his thumbs up. Ronaldo knows Scolari well from their days together with the Portugal national team.

Real president Florentino Perez is convinced Scolari has the man-management ability to handle the big egos inside the Madrid dressing room, despite his struggles at former club Chelsea.

Scolari is currently in charge of Uzbekistan powerhouse Bunydokor and could succeed Pellegrini if Real fail to impress at Barcelona in a fortnight's time.
