Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari says he can handle the expectations of fans - and club owner Roman Abramovich.

He said: "When you have coached Brazil, wow, you know pressure . . . I'm ready for this job. Never forget, I fight for my beliefs. I am a fighter.

"My team is the same. Maybe we will have many difficult times but I am determined.

"Until now, everything I have fought for and tried to achieve I have done.

"Maybe in this season we will have many difficult moments. But we will arrive there, sure. I am determined to do that.

"I coached in Saudi Arabia, at Gremio, Palmeiras, it was the same. We always got where we wanted to be."
