Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has defended his humiliated national team.
Scolari held a Press conference yesterday and tried to look on the bright side.
"It's the first time since 2002 that Brazil have reached the semi-final," pointed out Felipao.
"We suffered a bad defeat, worse than we could've ever imagined, but it's not all bad. We were so bad that we reached the semi-final of a World Cup..." smirked the Coach.
"I don't know what happened in those six minutes where we conceded four goals. If I could give a rational explanation, I would, but I just don't know.
"I do not regret my decisions on the line-up. I coached 28 games, of those Bernard was involved in 24 and played in 16 or 17. He knew how we would play beforehand."
Asked about his future, Scolari made no move towards offering a resignation as he sat next to assistant manager Flavio Murtosa.
"Now we have to focus on Saturday and securing third place, which is still an important target. After that I will talk to the Federation and understand what they want for the future.
"These players are young, so will continue to play for the Selecao and grow. At least 70 per cent of them will be in the squad for 2018."
