Schwarzer will stay at Fulham subject to Hodgson assurances

Mark Schwarzer admits he would be happy to discuss a new contract at Fulham but the deal breaker would be the future of Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson. The likes of Liverpool, Juventus and AC Milan have been credited with an interest in the former Blackburn manager.

"I have a year left on my contract and I'm keen to talk," Schwarzer told The People.

"I'm happy where I am - as long as the manager is still going to be here.

"Lots of big clubs are going to be interested in the manager's services after the amazing job he's done.

"As players we hope he'll stay but it is out of our hands."
