Schwarzer looking up the table with Fulham ahead tough Stoke clash

Mark Schwarzer is determined to help Fulham produce a much-needed victory against Stoke City on the weekend.

The 12th-placed Southwest Londoners host the 13th-placed Potters in the early kick-off at Craven Cottage on Saturday and Australian goalkeeper Schwarzer is well aware it will be a difficult contest as they seek to move into the top half of the Premier League table.

"It's going to be a very tough game. Stoke are always a very tough opponent. They play a certain style of football that is a very physical game and one that you have to be on 100% of your game to be able to compete against them," Schwarzer told the club's official website.

"They are very close to us on the table on points and it's a great opportunity for us to try and win another home game and get three points on the board again to pull ourselves further away from the bottom half of the table.

"The sooner we do that the sooner we can look up the table rather than down.

"You always know when you are playing Stoke what you are in for. We know that any set plays we are going to be bombarded and we know that we are going to have to be really switched on, really concentrated and focused on particular set plays because that is one of their strengths."

Fulham have won just two of their past 10 league outings and have saluted just once at home in their past five fixtures on the Thames.
