Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has been written into FIFA's history books after keeping his seventh consecutive clean sheet in World Cup qualifiers. After the 2-0 win over Bahrain, Schwarzer took his tally of goalless action to over 11 hours but as always, played down the achievement, preferring to thank his teammates.
"It's been fantastic," he said.
"The guys have worked extremely hard and I'm extremely proud of the way everyone's gone about their job.
"To be so far with two games to go is an unbelievable achievement. If we can push on again against Japan and keep another clean sheet then we can't do any better than that."
