Schwarzer hints at possible Fulham exit this summer

Mark Schwarzer has indicated that he may be on his way out at Fulham at the end of the season.

The 40-year old Australian goalkeeper is out of contract this English summer and revealed that he was no closer to signing a new deal at Craven Cottage as his future remains up in the air.

"Who knows? We'll have to wait and see," said the former Middlesbrough man.

"I have a contract until the end of the season. But I want to carry on playing without a doubt.

"I definitely want to play until the next World Cup with Australia.

"I'm no closer to signing a new deal and there aren't any talks at the moment, either.

"I'm just trying to do the best I can and we'll see what happens at the end of the season."

It is believed that Fulham boss Martin Jol is eyeing a possible replacement for Schwarzer with reports suggesting he is after Stoke City's Asmir Begovic as well as FC Twente's Nikolay Mihailov, formerly of Liverpool.
