Before yesterday's 3-0 reverse against Aston Villa, the Australia international said: "Those people won't stop me from getting on with doing my job.

"The last couple of games have been pretty vocal. There are those who support you and others who seem to want to get on your back, no matter what you do."

He added: "What we need right now is for people to get behind the whole team because we're in a difficult position.

"There are some very impatient people out there but I have to be big and man enough to take it. It's happened before and it will probably happen again."
