Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster wants fans to enjoy being top of the table after last night's 5-0 victory at Villarreal.

Rather than call for restraint, Schuster declared: "We've won 5-0 at a very difficult ground. Why can't people enjoy it? It's not very often you achieve such a result.

"I am happy to be top, but more so with the attitude of the players. We still have to polish a few things, but we're going in the right direction. Being top at the moment means little, but it's still not bad being leaders."

The German added: "What has pleased me most is the attitude. The philosophy of this team is that everybody works for eachother. Without a doubt, it is necessary to improve because not everything has been so good."
