Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster says they'll pay whatever it takes to land Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo next summer. Schuster said: "He has to be my No 1 priority. I'll expect Real to do everything in its power to bring me Cristiano.
"The meetings we held were really positive because the player was genuinely interested in signing for us.
"It was only after his face-to-face meeting with Ferguson that I began to think it might not happen.
"Now if United want £70 million then that's what we'll pay.
"You offer less and you won't get him. I'll be asking the club to pay what United want."
