"We have played at our speed, our level, and gave the impression that we are not going to lose. But the title still has not been decided.

"We have taken an important step and it is not important to think of anything more. We have many games left, we cannot relax and we are right now our only rival."

Robinho struck twice for Real, with Wesley Sneijder swooping for the winner after Giuseppe Rossi and Joan Capdevila had drawn the teams level.

Schuster continued: "Robinho is having a great season, scoring and creating goals. I've very pleased with him.

"I know that Sneijder has been unhappy not playing as often as he'd like. But I am pleased with his form, not just because of the goal."
