Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster insists he never had doubts his team would prevail against Malaga. Despite the dismissal of Sergio Ramos, Real managed to defeat Malaga 4-3, thanks to a four-goal performance from Gonzalo Higuain.
Afterwards, Schuster declared: "The truth is that the sending off made us grow stronger. We are the only team capable of doing these things, but I prefer winning games differently.
"No, I never had doubts. The truth is you don't have time to think about the result. At times like these you must try to win and show moral courage.
"Mentally, this win is a good morale boost for the team."
On Higuain, Schuster added: "With him in our team, we can take advantage of his speed and spirit.
"He's taken a step forward. I'm glad things are working for him."
