Bernd Schuster has been named new coach of Malaga.

Malaga have appointed former West Germany and Barcelona midfielder Schuster as their new coach on a five-year deal.

Malaga said on their official website: "The Andalusian club trusts the German coach to develop a sound long-term project, so they have agreed a deal for the next five seasons."

They also revealed he will be joined on the coaching staff by former Spanish player Fabio Celestini.
