Gaby Heinze is set to make his Real Madrid debut this weekend against Villarreal.

The former Manchester United defender is already training at the same rate as his new teammates and impressed coach Bernd Schuster in yesterday's full-scale session.

Schuster was ready to start Heinze tonight against Sporting Lisbon in the Bernabeu Trophy, but the match was suspended out of respect to Antonio Puerta's family after the Sevilla player passed on yesterday.

"Heinze is already in shape to play some minutes because he is training at a good rate," said Schuster, "but (Arjen) Robben is still not sufficiently fit to be considered. We must treat him with more patience."
