Bayer Leverkusen face a transfer dilemma over Andreas Schurrle. The Germany striker is a top target for Chelsea, which failed with a bumper bid for his services last summer.
Blues chiefs intend to try again at the end of the season and Bayer now must decide whether to cash in, or risk losing a massive €10 million off his sales' price next summer.
Kicker says Schurrle's current €25 million buyout clause stands for the reminder of this year before it drops to €15 million for the summer of 2014.
Increasing the pressure is Schurrle's former club, Mainz, are due 30 per cent of any sell-on fee over €10 million.
