Schurrle concedes Germany unhappy with performance

Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle admits Germany were unhappy with the manner of their World Cup win over Algeria.

Schurrle made an impact after he was introduced in the second half, eventually grabbing the breakthrough goal as the 2002 finalists made their mark to stave off the looming threat of a nervy shoot-out.

"We would have preferred to have won this differently. The Algerians did a good job, they disrupted us from the start and didn't let us get into our game," Schurrle said.

"But it doesn't matter how we won, the important thing is that we're in the quarter-finals now against France."
