Scholes slams Mourinho's Man Utd for Arsenal draw: Not good enough; no quality

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has again attacked the performance of Jose Mourinho's team after their 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

Scholes has been an outspoken critic of United's performances in recent months and he didn't hold back once again as he gave his views to BT Sport.

"Not good enough," was the verdict from Scholes. "It wasn't a game of great quality and both defences had big mistakes in them. I thought Arsenal just about edged it, but I think United can move on from here.

"They played a lot of players there who have not had a lot of football and hopefully the team can come on from this.

"There was a lack of quality in this game and that is probably why we are talking about two teams in this game going for the top four rather than going for the big prize."

Scholes went on to suggest the departure of Mourinho's long-time assistant manager Rui Faria last summer is having an impact on his mood this season, after a series of surly appearances in the media.

"I think the assistant is a big one," stated Scholes. "He was with him for a long time, at every club with him, suddenly he's gone. Apparently he was very influential in what he did day to day. He's lost that and he does look a bit lonely at times. I think that's a big part of it."
