Stoke City chief Tony Scholes is delighted with their crowd figures this season.
Scholes says he is particularly pleased that crowds are holding up despite the economic problems throughout the country.
He says the club work hard to keep the cost down, having frozen season ticket prices for four years running.
But he also told The Sentinel: "The most important thing is the team is doing well. That is fundamentally important to our attendances.
"But our pricing, and the work we do to encourage people to come here all comes into effect as well."
