Paul Scholes is impressed by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's summer signings.
Scholes has hailed Manchester United's trio of summer signings and said they will add freshness and quality to Sir Alex Ferguson's squad.
"They all look good players," said the midfielder, who retired at the end of last season. "Obviously Ashley Young is a proven Premier League player, he's come onto the England scene and scored when he came on his last game. So he looks a top player.
"Phil Jones looks a top prospect too. We've played against him at Blackburn these last couple of years and he's a big, strong, powerful lad who's only going to get better in the years to come.
"The keeper, David De Gea, I don't know too much about to be honest.
"The manager and Eric Steele [goalkeeping coach] have known for a while that we were going to need a replacement, so they've had time to look.
"Hopefully they've chosen the right one."
